A good blog post today about whether Catholics can be Feminists at

I responded, not only can Catholics be feminists, Catholics must be feminists because, as the blogger notes: the axis of feminism is equality, and that is also the axis of Catholicism.

The current institutional Church leadership would disagree with this as they agree that women are not equal with men when it comes to being ordained priests.

However, the Church underneath the institutional Church, the Church of the saints, the Church of the universal Catechisms from Trent and Vatican II, the Church of the papal encyclicals, the Church that is the eternal Cathedral in time, stretching back to the beginning of creation; that Church knows that men and women are equal beings before God, that Church knows that being feminist, or being menist, is merely being humanist, is merely being as God created us, equal.
